After I finished school by doing the Abitur in 2000, I moved to Germany in 2001 and started studying Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Stuttgart. The study of electrical engineering is based on the natural laws of physics, the characteristics of materials and the mathematical formulation of quantitative relations. These are the foundations for the systematic design and construction of electric, electronic and photonic components, circuits and systems ranging from solar cells, lasers and transistors to energy conversion, automation, telecommunications as well as ultra fast information processing in computers.
After battling myself through tough math courses, high voltage lectures and a lot of 00011101s I received my “Vordiplom” after five terms in February 2004. I will probably need another five terms, which includes an 18 week internship, a student research project and finally the diploma thesis.
