Corona composites

I stacked all my 500mm exposures with  Fitswork and used Sekanina-Larsen-filtering to remove the strong radial contrast.. This method is explained in detail here.  Severa l different versions are shown here












While the other images were treated with a Sekanina Larsen filter, this has been enhanced using a very aggressive type of unsharp mask. For this one, also Gerds images were used in the stack. While enhancing a number of artifacts, this brings out the stars a bit better than the SL-filtering.
