Totality

Gerd Neimann used his Canon 350D-camera and an 8mm Peleng fisheye lens to create this time series of images. I mounted them using the Fitswork software.  During totality he remnoved the filter and could reord the corona. I am the person on the picture enjoying the corona in bionoculars. Also vivible is Gerds notebook screen.

This is an image I took during totality with an all-in-one Olympus digital camera. Mercury and Venus are at the upper left.

These images were all taken with a 500mm f/8 telefoto lens and a Canon 350Da (100 ISO) The camera was controlled by Fred Bruinjes' excellent software Eclipse Orchestrator wich gave me the opportunity to use all my time for viewing . Between "Filters on" and "filters off" the camera took about 50 images. Here is a little selection:

Bailey's Beads , 1/2000s

Corona and prominences  1/250s . Full res crop of the same image is shown below:

central and outer corona, 1/8 s

3rd contact diamond ring after 2:18 min of totality: 1/1000 s
