Neighbourhood
The vacation apartment is located at the south-western center of Berlin
at northern end of the city district Berlin-Steglitz at the border to the district Berlin-Schöneberg (Friedenau).
The Schlossstraße - one of the most popular
and largest shopping street of Berlin - is at a distance of some 100 m. The surroundings of the Schlossstraße is a
desirable residental area.
The infrastructure in the vicinty of the vacation apartment is ideal: In working distance you find everything for your
needs: grocery stores, bakeries, drug stores, cafes, restaurants etc. At the Schlossstraße you find many
shooping centers (Schloss-Strassen-Center, Forum Steglitz, Das Schloss, Galeria) and
department stores (Karstadt, Wertheim, C&A, Ansons, Woolworth, P&C) as well as many other shops.
Markets and
flea markets at the
Rathaus Steglitz or Rathaus Friedenau or cinemas (Titaniapalast, Kino am Walther-Schreiber-Platz, Thalia) complement
the variety. Although we hope there will be no need for, many dentists and doctors can be found close at hand.
The Botanical garden, the city park Steglitz or the Insulaner with public swimming bath and planetarium are also
near by.
The connection to the public transport is best possible, thus the apartment is an excellent starting point
for activities in Berlin and surroundings:
The S-Bahn station Feuerbachstraße is reached within a few minutes on foot.
From there direct and frequent north bound connections e.g. to Potsdamer Platz, Unter den Linden, Friedrichstraße
or south bound connections e.g. to Wannsee or Potsdam depart.
Likewise reachable on foot in a few minutes are the stations of the underground line U9:
Schlossstraße or Walther-Schreiber-Platz. From there direct and frequent trains e.g.
to Kurfürstendamm or Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten (Zoo) leave. Direct bus connections to e.g. Alexanderplatz are also
available.
